School Direct

School Direct is an employment based initial teacher training programme. School Direct places are available through St Francis School, a lead school, working with an accredited provider. St Francis School is working with Bishop Grosseteste to provide this training programme. Financial support and bursaries may be available throughout your training.

The course lasts for one academic year. Successful completion of the programme will lead to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Our School Direct programme also includes the option of a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
